Project Scope

The project will focus on an existing Australian building project. In the CWIC project, the building will be redesigned from scratch based on client briefing. The complexity of the project depends on the participants of the CWIC team and the complexity of tasks in hand. When an architect firm works with a structural firm, a building services firm, a specifier, a cost estimator, a builder and a supplier, a number of interesting processes, cultural change issues and software applications can be tried and evaluated in a 'live' environment.

It is not the objective of the CWIC Hands-on Programme to focus on the final product (the building), but rather on a pre-selected set of processes that build the building.

The principal of the CWIC project plays a leadership role in the project. S/He will exercise judgement to decide the size of tasks for the 'live' week of demonstration.
